The Portfolio Continuum: high contrast bedroom

✨ pulled from the archives ✨
For this client, the goal was to create a space that felt settled without feeling heavy.
Rather than relying on color, the room is shaped by how materials interact with light. Upholstered surfaces soften visual input by absorbing light, while woven and structured elements reflect it in quieter, more varied ways. This balance allows the space to hold depth without becoming overwhelming.
Repetition in tone helps create a sense of stability, while subtle shifts in texture keep the eye engaged and moving naturally through the room. Nothing competes for attention, yet nothing feels overlooked.
The result is a space that feels grounded, responsive, and easy to spend time in 🤍
