Hollis | Vintage Miniature Bear Figurine

Long before Hollis found his way to Pennsylvania, I like to imagine.... one rainy afternoon, someone forgot to close the cover of a well-loved storybook before falling asleep, and he quietly wandered right off the page.

He spent years searching library shelves, old trunks, and forgotten corners, hoping to find the story he came from. Along the way, his travels carried him across England, where a traveling circus discovered his gentle nature in the early 1950s. They never taught him tricks. Instead, Hollis greeted children at the entrance, accepted pats on the head, and sat beside the ticket booth looking wonderfully important.

When the circus finally closed, Hollis slipped away as quietly as he’d arrived.

Some say he tucked himself inside another story.

Others believe he simply wandered until he was ready to be found again.

Decades later, he appeared in a little antique shop.

Waiting.

These days, Hollis isn’t so sure he wants to find the story he came from after all.

He says every home writes a different ending.
