Meet Marcel & Pip.
I like to imagine Marcel spent most of his life believing every room was a stage.
He loved making people laugh, telling long stories, and turning even the smallest gathering into an occasion. Pip was always nearby, looking up at him with the kind of expression that said he had probably heard the joke before, but would happily listen one more time.
Marcel especially loved dogs. Dogs loved Marcel right back. He always seemed to have a snack tucked away for them, a joke ready to tell, and plenty of room beside him for one more little friend.
Pip never minded sharing the attention. He knew that, when everyone else had gone home and the room became quiet again, it would still be the two of them.
That is how I imagine they have always been. Marcel making the world a little more entertaining, and Pip faithfully beside him, enjoying the show.
