Wiley grew up where the cypress trees lean over the bayou and the fireflies begin glowing before the sun has fully gone down.

He was a curious little fellow, always wandering a bit farther than he meant to. One afternoon, Wiley followed a particularly convincing butterfly through the reeds, across a garden, and onto a road he had never seen before.

By the time he realized he was lost, home was very far away.

Wiley traveled for quite some time, accepting directions from birds who disagreed with one another and sleeping beneath whichever porch seemed friendliest. He was beginning to wonder whether he would ever find somewhere he belonged when he arrived at Mrs. B’s Trinket Adoption Society.

He is still a little bashful around strangers, but do not mistake that for unhappiness. Wiley is simply taking his time deciding whether you seem like the sort of person who would leave a few pecans by the window and let a wandering bayou boy finally call somewhere home. 🤍
